I have used this as a light for 4hrs once at medium setting it did not heat up at all , not sure how the battery life will change as it gets old but for now all seems to work well and good i am happy with this product. Note its not RGB colors only white to warm white(sunset color). I just use these so its fine. The light is also flicker free. It does come with 3 filters which is good to play around and also softens the overall light output.
