Posted measurements are wrong!** A: Mine are 12 1/2" Wide x 9 3/4" Deep x 40" High ( a smidge over 42" with DVD's). Hope this helps ! **Q: Can you use this rack as a stand alone, or does t have to be mounted to the wall?** A: Stands alone and doesn’t need to be mounted to the wall **Q: What is the height between shelves?** A: 8 inches. Tall enough for any single DVD and most boxed sets; i.e., my Chaplin metal box resides on the top shelf because it's a too tight fit for the other shelves. **Q: Does it stand good** A: No it does not stand well. A good product should not sway after everything is screwed in.
