As you read along with the beautifully illustrated 32-page storybook manual, you’ll build models of the adorable, motorized robotic animals the Omegas encounter, and experiment with them to see how each one uses the battery-powered motor and mechanical parts to move in a different way. Large, cubic plastic building pieces make it easy for small hands to put the models together. Robot Pet Shop provides an engaging way to teach simple engineering concepts to young children, allowing parents, teachers, and caregivers to lay the groundwork for strong STEM-related skills and comprehension at an early age. The pieces are tougher to get together and the instruction a bit detailed for the age suggested in the package. I would suggest 8+ for individual play. Any younger would need help. Will definitely buy more.

Super cute set and the company was great at replacing a piece when we lost one. The pieces are tougher to get together and the instruction a bit detailed for the age suggested in the package. I would suggest 8+ for individual play. Any younger would need help. Will definitely buy more.

Very basic and fell apart easily when set in motion. My daughter is 7 and was excited to build her first robot. She was able to understand how to, so I appreciated the ease of the instructions, but it was almost too simple.
