Now valve in nozzle is leaking. Make sure you wear gloves to keep diesel off your hands and place an absorbent pad at the front of the tank. Also pump doesn’t completely empty the tank, mine leaves about 3+ gallons in the tank. I tow a fifth wheel rv and get about 10 mpg towing so my range is very limited. Exploring my options, I came across this 25 gallon diesel fuel transfer tank. Wow. This is a nice well made piece of equipment. The pump is rated 10 gallons per minute so you get gas station like flow out of the gas station auto shut-off quality nozzle. The filler opening is large and has a removable screen to keep contaminants out. The power cord has no problem reaching the battery under the hood and I have a four door truck with a full size bed. The tank is nearly indestructible. It will never rust or corrode. It has a drain opening if needed. The were no leaks whatsoever after I filled and dispensed from this tank.The only concern I have is the quality of the hose, which appears to be vinyl. Not a big deal but since everything else on this tank is such high quality I thought I would mention it. It might last, we'll just have to wait and see. The hose is plenty long enough.For an all in one unit that comes complete with nothing else to buy, I don't think this tank can be beat. And knowing that in about 1 minute I can put it in any truck I own is a plus.It took about two weeks for delivery. The lightweight cardboard box was mutilated during shipping but there was no damage to the tank.Update (2/4/2017)I have removed a star from this tank as I have since found for safety reasons this tank needs to be grounded. This is due to concerns with static electricity. There was no literature concerning this with the tank or on the manufacturers website. Contacting them I got conflicting information. There are plenty of warnings out there about filling portable tanks in the back of a pickup. You are supposed to removed the tank and set it on the ground for filling. You can't do that with this tank as it would be too heavy to put back into the truck. If you ground this tank the metal nozzle would not be protected because of the vinyl hose without a wire in it.I think the manufacturer is missing a big safety feature here. The simple process of filling this tank creates static electricity within the fuel. It is worse with the newer ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. Although diesel has a flashpoint higher than gasoline, the danger is still there.
