I needed this to be able to use chair with upcoming surgery!! Review: Works great for Prius 12V battery (included my kludge method) - A specific review, but if you're looking for a less ridiculously priced 12V for a Prius this worked great. I'll update the review if it dies early, but it arrived at a healthy 12.7 V. This would NOT be an appropriate battery for most cars but specifically for cars like the Prius where the 12V does NOT need to cold crank the engine but only needs to boot the computers up, it works great. I kludged it and there are many ways you can get it to work but to share my terrible method I tucked the edge of some aluminum foil under the included bolts, tightened the bolts to hold the foil in place, wrapped the foil around until it snugly fit inside "SAE to Pencil Post (JIS) Battery Terminal Adapters", put electrical tape then duct tape around that contraption, and that fit the stock connectors in the car perfectly without any voltage degradation. And put a little cardboard underneath it to boost it up a few cm since it's shorter than the stock battery. Shouldn't be any risk of corrosion since it's in the trunk (the 9 year old battery it replaced didn't show corrosion). Happy MacGyvering. ## Features - DEEP CYCLE MOBILITY BATTERY: Interstate Batteries DCM0035 professional-grade, high-quality battery developed specifically for electric wheelchair's, electric scooter's and more. What is the group number? Thanks.** A: Yes. You will get maybe 4 to 5 hours run time on this (pending your speed) If you are planning longer trips and troll constantly and at higher speeds I recommended something around 1000. Higher the number the longer run time on the trolling motor. But yes this will work **Q: if i purchase interstate dcm0035 and there is a problem with battery - exchange locally?** A: Hello! Will this battery replace a Interstate Batteries 12V 55Ah Deep Cycle Battery (DCM0055U)? What's the difference between DCM0055 and DCM0055U? Thank you!! **Q: what size bolts for the battery leads?** A: I am just leaving the hardware store. I had already bought the M6 bolts that I read I needed on this page only to find that they a were too big. Found that I actually needed 10-32 x 1/2. This is quite annoying, because the battery was listed as including hardware. Anyway 10-32x 1/2 worked for me **Q: Does this battery come with the Insert Terminals bolts?** A: Yes, the bolts are included but are taped into a recess in the cardboard packing material that sits on top of the battery…easy to miss. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great battery *by A***R on August 17, 2026* This worked great in the electric chair.
