I would not recommend them for little kids because the plastic is thin so you have to take some amount of care when opening. I imagine if I was rough with them they might crack. I use them to make what I call adult lunchables for myself. I put crackers on one side and various things like meats, cheese and grapes on the other. The slightly raised lid allows for large grapes. The seal worked well And they stack nicely in the fridge.
