I was too ;) *by S***I on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2021* After reading some reviews I was left a little nervous about buying this, but I am glad I did. I recently lightened my natural med/dark brunette hair that has auburn tones and silver mixed through-out. I was left with an almost dark strawberry blonde/cool and ash dark blonde/brown. I did like the color very much,but I felt it was very brassy all over,and somewhat orange at the roots. I did not use bleach on my hair, just a permanent color with a hi lift developer. After much reading all across the net, my search for a blue shampoo began. As most of you know the prices are all over the place. I wanted a good value that would live up to the claims of blue shampoo, and I ended up here. This shampoo/conditioner combo is definitely worth a try. The shampoo is a highly pigmented deep dark blue, which is what you want to look for. It is quite thin though, so be careful when you squeeze the tube or you will have more than you need and blue foam everywhere. It spreads super easy which I love. I left it on while I washed, about 10 mins-ish. I know the tube doesn't say 10 mins, but I really wanted to cool my color. It rinsed out easily, however my hair felt pretty dry even while wet. I then put the pastel blue conditioner on and rinsed that out after 5 or 6 mins. The results after one use were amazing! My hair had almost none of the undesirable tones in it and the brassiness was completely gone! I'm looking forward to the second wash with it to get the remaining orange out and cool my hair even more. The conditioner does not seem to soften or moisturize much, if at all, but it did leave an amazing shine which was almost glass like. Be prepared to use a moisturizing product after using this though. I used a small amount of Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" Leave In conditioner, and my hair was super soft and easy to comb. Overall I would definitely recommend this blue shampoo/conditioner duo, and I will be buying more when I get low. Fast forward to November 2021, my hair is disgustingly brassy in portions around my face (due to my roots growing out as well), I was able to explain my story and get brown hair gloss applied at a different salon and loved those results. The brown gloss covered all of the ugly blonde/orange streaks in my hair and I was happy with it but I made the mistake of not discussing in detail with them about how long those results would last. After some googling when I got home and realize that the results wouldnt last long but that there are ways to maintain them- enter toning shampoos/conditioners. I had only heard about purple ones and didn't even know blue shampoos existed. long story short I ordered this set the same day. I noted the price was reasonable compared to other brands out there and thought I had nothing to lose. Well, this shampoo/conditioner set is AMAZING. I use it about once a week and I see a difference every time I use it. It's currently Feb 2022 and it has done a great job of maintaining my gloss and controlling my brassiness. I was worried by some of the reviews mentioning about how it dried out their hair and was using it concurrently with a moisturizing mask just in case and have been loving how soft the combo leaves my hair feeling. Not only that but the smell and texture is amazing.
