The 30 Live Orange Smoothie Roly Polys by Pocket Pets are a colorful, hardy species of isopods that grow up to half an inch and live 3-5 years. Shipped only under safe temperature conditions (20-95°F), these organic rolies thrive in 60-80% humidity and enjoy a varied diet. Perfect for enhancing any pocket pet habitat, they arrive carefully packaged and are ideal for enthusiasts aged 8 and up.

## Description

Orange Smoothie Rolies bred by Pocket Pets adds a splash of color to all habitats. This species do not curl into a ball when scared, they play dead. Females will typically give birth to 1-2 clutches of 20-30 babies from early spring to mid fall. Orange Smoothies can grow to over 1/2 long and live 3-5 years. They become sexually mature and start producing babies around 2-4 months old. Yours will be approximately 2-4 months old when shipped. Orange Smoothies prefer 60-80% humidity and temperatures between 70-80 degrees F but can tolerate temperatures as low as 40 degrees. They will eat just about anything organic including fish food and vegtables. Do not overfeed or the uneaten food will attract fruit flys. Just like all rolies, Orange Smoothies get along well with other species of rolies. While pictures typically represent the adult version of our pets, most items for sale are shipped as immature stages of the available species. Photos of outstanding adult specimens are typically used, not representing the actual specimen available for sale. Orange Smoothies have a soft shell and need to be handled carefully. Recommended for ages 8+.

**Q: What species is this? (Anyone but John please answer.)**
A: I actually think that these are Porcellio pruinosus 'powder orange morph', not P. scaber 'giant orange' morph because I ordered Porcellio pruinosus 'orange powder morph' from a seller who specifically identified the species and they look identical to the isopods I got from this seller. Interestingly, the isopods I got from this seller were huge for Porcellio pruinosus, so I thought they were P. scaber until I saw their offspring. I isolated a pair from this seller and their offspring look identical to the orange powder morph Porcellio pruinosus I recieved from another seller and are about the same size after several months of growth as well. The offspring of the two giant Porcellio pruinosus I received from this seller produced 20-50 juveniles in a single clutch and have been thriving since I got them in November 2020. P. Scaber are known to be a slow reproducing species, so the highly prolific nature of the isopods I received from this seller further support my hypothesis that these are indeed Porcellio pruinosus.

**Q: What kind of habit do they live in temperature and humidity wise?**
A: 65-85 degrees ~80% humidity or greater. If you are putting them in a Roly Poly Farm, make sure it stays damp and the chia is at least 1/2 tall.

**Q: Do these arrive the color they will be? Our three different kinds including the Orange Smoothies are all grey.**
A: MY ORANGE SMOOTHIES WERE ORANGE, AND MY DALMATIONS WERE WHITE/SPOTTED.
