I have two of these racks filled with hex dumbbells from 20 to 85 pounds pairs and they are very steady. At 60 pounds and heavier, only four dumbbells fit per tier, so space will inherently prevent you from overloading the rack. But it is rock solid and I have 300lbs of dumbells on it.Make sure all of the bolts are tightened 1/4 turn past snug.
