Sauteing in the Ninja is a pain because oil settles to the outer edge, not evenly on the bottom** A: So I had to put water in the bottom to see, but yes it is convex like the Ninja pot. The middle is definitely higher and the water ran to the edges of the pot. I hope this helps. :D **Q: Anyone else have the stainless steel pot causing over-pressurisation in Ninja Foodi? Pressure valve won't stay closed.** A: i have the 6.5 qt Foodi. this pot is exactly the same size as the original ceramic coated pot. however, with the steel pot, my timer begins before the pressure valve has popped up. it seems to take much longer for natural release, too. i have to watch for the Foodi to come to full pressure, then up the timer again to make sure i get the full cooking time in. i will not be able to trust it to cook something delicate with a short cooking time (like noodles), but i love the steel since the ceramic is chipping off my original bowl. **Q: Has anyone had trouble with this pot? I'm a little nervous because it's not a Ninja factory pot. I'm mainly worried about safety using preasure mode.** A: I use mine all the time...it has replaced the original Ninja factory pot. Works great under pressure and on other modes, and i don't have to worry about using non-stick safe utensils. **Q: Can I place this on an induction cooktop? I'm trying to melt oils, butters and waxes.** A: Probably not.
