I tried with regular and decorative pillows but it is not comfortable so I was excited about this one. Overal it's an awesome idea, however, not without its flaws. The pillow is really big, we call it "a person" it's literally almost my height laying. With that it's taking a lot of room in the bed, so unless you sleep by yourself it's not working when you have someone you share a bed with. We are waiting to set up a king size bed hoping it will be more room with "a person" there as well. Also I have to mention that I love the memory foam filling but the pillow also is very thick. And as picture showing with a lady putting her head on it as well as her body you will wake up with severe neck/back pain doing so as the spine that way is misaligned. The whole idea to sleep with a pillow is to align the spine, to have better sleep. So with the length of the pillow it's hard to have an extra pillow above it. Not even mentioning if you have pets sleeping with you. As far as lavender satched I am indifferent about it. Smells nice.
