Our new Fumoto Standard Valves have a larger body with a 60% larger drain, allowing for faster oil changes compared to the smaller body models for the same thread size.

Review: Awesome drain valve for 3rd gen Tacoma - Installed this on my 3rd gen Tacoma. I was a bit Skeptical at first on this considering that it’s a valve located on the very bottom of the truck. After the install, I took notice of a few things. I didn’t love the idea of a paper gasket but I will say I haven’t noticed any leaks. It fits perfect on the threads where my drain plug was. Luckily it’s recessed high enough above the skid plate that I don’t have to worry about it catching on anything when I’m on a trail. I’ve done a few oil changes with it on so far and it works great! No more messy spills and oil splashes. Valve seems stiff out of the box but once it’s installed, it’s super easy to actuate. The safty clip was a nice feature. Although not completely necessary, it did give me a piece of mind knowing that it won’t come open. The handle locks very securely into place when closed. This makes my oil changes quick and easy. The locking design is great and it’s an easy install. I believe it’s worth every penny and I will be recommending this to all of my car enthusiast friends. 10/10

A: You should not have to replace it unless you remove the valve for some reason.  Also, make sure you use the washer included with the valve, not the aluminum crush washer that goes with your drain plug.
