When given at baby showers it always brings exclamations of surprise as no one is expecting it, and all seem to love it. On nearly every occasion I have received pictures of the little one holding the Sock Monkey; one picture actually showed the baby wearing Sock Monkey pajamas while holding hers. This particular Sock Monkey is the traditional one although a myriad of renditions are available in all colors and all manner of presentations. It is soft, pliable, and made of a sturdy knitted material with embroidered eyes and mouth eliminating any possibility of a choking hazard. The colors are vivid, bright, and true with no reports back to me of fading when the toy has been washed. This particular one has a curved tail which I think adds another layer of personality to this long standing childhood favorite. The Sock Monkey baby gift avoids the hassle of deciding about sizes, wondering what colors are wanted, or deliberating what style of baby clothes the parents prefer.
