Ratings like mine are initially published based upon out of the box performance, not long term durability. The battery is shipped with tools that aid in the installation. The case spreader is particularly useful and appreciated. I have replaced the battery and hard drive before, so opening the laptop case was no mystery. There are wonderfully helpful "how-to" videos online to guide the novice.I discharged the battery and charged it up quickly. It seems to be running normally. The HP battery diagnostic gave it a clean bill of health. The real test will be how the battery is doing after a year / eighteen months.
