**Q: I want a fan for white noise. Is this loud enough to drown out footsteps and voices?**

This unit makes what is called "Pink Noise", a lower and more natural tone than white noise to help with sleep. 1. Fan is very noisy 2. There is a smoke that comes if it runs for more than two minutes and a smoky smell too. 3. Low-quality plastic, very little weight, All wiring is showing out, which looks ugly. 4. Unhappy with the product and initiated return in 30 minutes of receiving the product.
