Neither roast becomes bitter no matter how strong a coffee water ratio i use, whether it be pour over, French Press, Kcups, Mokapot, or even my rarely used drip coffee maker. I admit however, I have never used a standard percolator. Oh, last but not least, peets does not get bitter after ditting on my dingle cup coffee warmer for 2-3 hours, though maybe a bit richer thicker tasting. Coffee is one of the heaviest sprayed crops, and my wife gets sick to her stomach if she drinks non-organic coffee because she’s allergic to what is sprayed on the crops, which works its way into the beans themselves while the grow, and then into your morning coffee. I wouldn’t even know this was in fact a problem with non-organic coffee if it wasn’t for my wife’s allergy, which is actually incredibly helpful to us because now we know which foods to avoid, simply because she cannot eat them. ANYWAY! This coffee is really good for the price! It’s a bit on the robust side if you like that. Not like a breakfast blend, but a little stronger.
