The old tint removed easily by just peeling it away from the glass, but the tint was in place only about 2 months. Follow the instructions, but a lot is going on when installing this stuff, so for a non-pro they should not expect pro results. I am A mechanical type person, so super easy. However it was installed on a bedroom window that faces the morning sun. Incredible heat coming through the glass. I purchased this in hopes to cut that heat down. I maybe had a 15-20 percent decrease in heat. This stuff is pretty much worthless.
