My current ones do, despite the design** A: Had a cheaper version that came with a tent/hammock/tarp - no bending if you get a feel for what you are doing - which many don't when they hammer only. If a rock is hit a couple inches down, and you attempt to move or go thru a rock that is underground with a thin piece of metal - anything is going to bend when you try to force it. Take stake out, re-angle it's entry or move sideways to miss rock, or if that large and that close - use another solution. Frankly the differences in some people bending & some not - are due to skill level of people using them. We used these for a long time in the dirt and they removed fantastic, easy to clean, stored nice while packing and were very strong. The only problem I ran into was pulling them out of the ground in a gravel lot for tent camping. They drove in VERY well, no bends or breaks but after almost a week of camping we went to pick up and tried pulls by the cord to pull them out and the cord instantly broke. I hated to drive them into gravel but when it’s the only camp site you have you have to do what you need to do. Otherwise I would recommend these tent stakes to anyone looking to tent camp.
