If you are keeping phalaenopsis I would mix this with sungrows phalaenopsis bark and put it in a pit with a lot of ventilation. Never let the water stagnate and warer it when the media dries and the roots turn grey in color. **Q: is this suitable for succulents** A: Probably not. It would be better to use a more sandy or small gravel for succulents as they are indigenous to the dessert. **Q: How big is the bag? Dimensions say 1x1x1** A: 14 inches long x 8 inches wide x 4 inches thick. It was a bigger bag than I needed **Q: Can this be used to create a moss pole?** A: Hello ....
