If I remember correctly, there were numerous reviews of people using this for themselves or a loved one. I purchased the 30"x40" for my Miniature Schnauzer dogs. This size was actually larger than I envisioned (although precisely the size noted). So, I cut them in half using a razor blade from the back. These have held up perfectly--even with the at home cut.
