It took me a lot longer to configure a case for several sensitive pieces than it would have had I ordered an empty case separately then ordered the true Pickin pluck foam. There was a lot more mess trying to customize the form that comes with this case . Yes if it’s just a few large puiecez you want to protect, this will work. As a technique, I place each item on the foam and trace it with a black felt tip pen before trying to handle the thick sheets that come with the unit. **Q: Crush resistant? Can an average sized adult sit on the case when it's laying down, on top of the lid, and not have the lid collapse, sink, or bow?** A: Yes.
