Recently my skin was reacting badly with almost every cleanser, my skin was drying out badly and I was breaking out in small whiteheads. At 24 years old it was quite embarrassing. My forehead also had some brown spots I was very embarrassed of. To top it off it was becoming a pain to shave since my face was irritated, shaving made it more irritated. I read online that alpha hydroxy acids help with the problems I had so I discovered this product again, thankfully.This cleanser is the best IMO for any skin type expect maybe very sensitive. It smells great, a light lemony refreshing smell that is not to strong. The texture is thick and it lathers very well with a dime sized amount. The AHA's in the cleanser exfoliate without beads and have lessened my dark spots and kept me quite clear. I will mention that I had to kind of build up to the cleanser, meaning that I started once every other day for like a week because my skin is slightly sensitive. Now, once at night is good enough for my skin. The cleanser did not dry me out since I used it this way but I did get a few small whiteheads the first week(upper lip/chin area only), my sister who also uses a lot of AHA's said that's normal since its exfoliating the skin and now my skin is use to it so I'm free of any irritation. Also, the cleanser feels refreshing and has brightened up my complexion.Now the only con that almost everyone has mentioned: The Bottle. Funny thing is I love the look of the bottle, it looks super cool on the bathroom counter, metal with blue looks great. Yeah, the product takes a while to travel down the opening of the bottle especially when your down to the last quarter. In the winter time it can take a minute or two because the product has kinda "frozen". Zirh offers the product in a tube for those who find this frustrating. I don't mind as much and just tap the bottle upside down on the bathroom counter to make the last quarter of the product travel quickly enough for me to use. Also you can purchase a pump bottle and store the cleanser in there like some others have. Point is the bottle is fine IMO and I wouldn't to change it.(I guess I like the look too much to mind the con) I read online that the company replied to a customer requesting a pump bottle that they didn't want to dilute the product in order for it to pump easily through a pump bottle design, I rather live with this bottle design then have the company dilute the product and change its quality.I can easily recommend this cleanser to people out there and hope this cleanser is always around. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Ladies, buy this!! He uses Ivory bar soap (gasp!) on his perfect skin sans blemishes. I ran out of my proactive and noticed this had AHAs in it. Gave it a try and my skin felt CLEAN, incredibly smooth and tingly immediately. The fragrance was reminiscent of mens shaving cream, but not overwhelming. (The product is marketed as a men's face cleanser that can be used as a shave gel).I had a sample of Peter Thomas Roth laser free resurfacer with dragons blood serum that I applied after using this cleanser.. When I woke up in the morning any trace of blemish was gone and spots were diminished. My skin was literally smooth and luminous. I used the remaining samples of the cleanser and PTR dragon blood resurfacer for a week. I'm not sure if its the combination of products or the cleanser alone. Either way, I literally got compliments from strangers on my skin. Strangers! When does that happen?!!? (Well, not to me! I typically wear medium to full coverage foundation to even my skin tone and cover darker acne spots). And all my girlfriends are buying this stuff now in hopes it will make the same radical difference for them. This skin care routine has eliminated the need for foundation and/or powder in my makeup routine! My skin is literally too pretty and glowing to cover with foundation or even a tinted moisturizer. No more proactive for me. The cleanser bottle is a pain. I will transfer it to a pump bottle. Can't live without this cleaner. And I recommend investing in the PTR dragon blood laser free resurfacer. These 2 products are made for each other. I have combination skin and suffer from hormonal breakouts. Try these not very talked about products. I'm so glad I had samples and found this combo! On second use the smell was much weaker, and not at all overpowering.The good:Keeps my face clean, smooth, and feeling good.
