It allowed me to get out of "the boot". So I'm very happy with it, find it very nice looking, and intend to continue wearing it long after the toe is healed I would like to share a few things about this clog. It is large for its size. I don't mind because I like a loose fit. For the woman who found another brand of this style too tight for her "fat foot", this one would fill the bill for her. Mine is not fat, so I had to punch an extra hole in the strap and have to wear thick socks or stuff a sock in it. I don't know if a smaller size would have been better, but I didn't want it tight, and I like the fit of the insole with its great support and good arch. I see why social workers and teachers like it. It's not a shoe for taking a walk. But for standing a lot, being up and about, and walking short distances it is very very comfortable. We used to wear clogs that we slipped into. This kind with a strap is much more secure and better for your feet. Last comment is that it's not cheap but less expensive than some other brands. The wood soles are left unfinished meaning there is raw wood touching the skin. Even just pulling these out of the box left small splinters in my finger and lots in my sock when trying on. The buckle is so flimsy! For a shoe that's meant to last years the buckle feels like it wouldn't last a mile of walking. Could easily be broken by hand if one gave it just a little effort. I returned the pair I ordered to try out a pair of Sandgrens, they're double the price but hopefully triple the quality that these were.
