Tributyrin has been clinically tested, though the scope of human clinical trials is limited compared to animal studies. There is preliminary evidence from both animal and human studies supporting its efficacy for gut health, but research is ongoing. My personal experience with this product is very positive. A: It doesn't mention refrigerating on the label. I have been taking this for a couple of months and haven't died so I guess the answer is "no".
