Review: Great for cakes with multiple layers - The cake rings are great. I purchased these rings to make a cake with layers inside. I used the smaller rings to make an almond crumble, then strawberry cheesecake and strawberry confiture. Then i used the next size up to pour vanilla mousse around the middle layers. The cake came out great. The rings are easy to wash and do not have any rusty stains. Great purchase!

**Q: Can the rings be used to make a ice cream cake?**
A: Yes. I suggest that you line the ring with acetate so when you remove the ring it will be much easier

**Q: Are the rings seamless**
A: No.

**Q: Can these rings be used for a funnel cake machine?  Can they stand the heat?**
A: wouldn't use it for that, it's pretty thin - really meant to cut through layers of thin cake and fillings. Id go for something like cast iron or just freehand it.

**Q: Where is it made?**
A: I believe that it was from China. It was a piece of crap. Asymmetric, not aligned, layer circles were of varying size and didn't line up. Mine was unusable. I would not recommend this at all.

The cake rings are great. I purchased these rings to make a cake with layers inside. I used the smaller rings to make an almond crumble, then strawberry cheesecake and strawberry confiture. Having never used a cake ring before, but being determined to attempt some of Dorie Greenspan's tart recipes, I decided to give this product a try. I'm so glad that I did, as I now prefer using these cake rings to cake pans for most of my baking. Points to consider: - This ring set is sturdy, and they hold their shape in the heat of the oven. This is an important consideration, and I'd be cautious about using an 'adjustable' ring instead. There is a hairline "seam" on the inside but it is so narrow that it does not show on the finished cake. - Cleanup is far easier than a cake pan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ NewlineNY 3 cake rings: nice product, but made of soft material and needs adjustment by hand

The product, I would say, is of a very nice quality overall. For me, the set includes all the useful sizes and for the price, I am happy with the purchase. There are two main issues, however: 1) the forms did not come perfectly round in shape and I had to re-shape them and 2) the metal that the forms are made of seem to be very soft, so re-shaping them is very easy, but exactly that is not necessarily a good thing for the long run as you would want to be able to use them without having a fear of bumping or pushing them out of shape. So, they have to be handled carefully.
