That's right. Over FOUR YEARS! And it was still working like it did since day one.This one, in comparison, isn't AS good. It does the job but is rougher than my other one. The one I was using was super smooth and I could just glide it across my nails and they would magically file down. This one, feels more like I'm grinding a rock across my nails.It does however, look REALLY NICE. The part that files your nails SPARKLES, and it's double-sided. My other crystal file was only one sided, but this never bothered me, in fact, I prefer it that way.This comes with a nice carrying case, which feels a little cheap but works. It's also a tight fit so I feel like my nail file is getting scratched every time I take it in and out the case.UPDATE: 3 months later, the rough part of the nail file is wearing off. You can literally just see and feel plain glass in the places that the file has been used the most. Meaning that, I have to try to use the center or very ends of it to file my nails. It's not even that it's gotten dirty or covered in nail polish. The rough texture is GONE, and you can actually see right through the glass like a window. NOT RECOMMENDED. As I said above, I have another nail file that I have used and abused for over 4 years and it has not worn down AT ALL. NOT EVEN A LITTLE. This one however looks to be completely useless in about 3 months. 2 stars for a good looking product and nice carrying case. -3 stars because it doesn't actually do what it's supposed to do. ### ⭐ Poor Quality *by K***2 on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2012* I have very weak nails and decided to try a glass file to help strengthen them, or at least keep them from getting weaker. While this file did file my nails with general ease for such a fine grit, I was really disappointed. After only about two weeks of use, the grit seems to have worn off on one side. It went from being slightly rough to the touch to smooth like, well, glass. One of the selling points to me was the fact that it was two-sided, and now i have a one and a half sided nail file. I might just buy a new one, and I would not repurchase this one.UPDATE: About a week after I wrote this review, the other side began wearing off. I bought the Sephora Glass File (direct from Sephora) and it's been working brilliantly.
