**Q: How much xylitol does a single piece of gum contain?**
A: 1 gram per piece, though the gum base used in Pur gum, like most chewing gum, is polyvinyl acetate (plastic), while Epic uses natural chicle. I don't see titanium dioxide listed as an ingredient in Epic gum, unless that's a "natural flavoring," but still, people go out of their way to avoid just eating/drinking from plastic containers and then end up chewing plastic unknowingly when having a piece of gum! No thanks!

**Q: Is the Pur Gum, Peppermint, made from corn or from birch?**
A: PUR Gum is 100% corn-free. The xylitol we use is derived from sustainably grown birch and beech trees in Europe. PUR Mints, however, are made with a corn derivative, maize dextrin. And all of our products are made in Switzerland, and are certified non-GMO!

**Q: what is the gum base made from in this product?**
A: From a review (not mine): "Our gum base is not all-natural, but it is the highest quality of synthetic gum base on the market - it is sourced from Europe and made with the highest quality which means it will never breakdown or end up in your digestive system! The only ingredients ingested from our gum, is all-natural flavors and sweeteners. The exact breakdown of our gum base is proprietary information, but we can assure you that it is made of the highest quality." -Supposedly a corporate response from a customer inquiry.

**Q: how many pieces?**
A: Due to fluctuations in production, the number of pieces included in each bag range between 55-57. When we redesigned the bag, we decided to list the lower end of the count instead of the higher to make up for the discrepancies. So you will always receive at least 55 pieces.

I've tried many sugar-free chewing gums, but these from PUR pleasantly surprised me. The spearmint flavor is fresh and enjoyable without being too strong. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Xylitol Chewing Gum!

This review is for PUR Gum | Aspartame Free Chewing Gum | 100% Xylitol | Natural Spearmint Flavored Gum, 55 Pieces (Pack of 3). I got 2 of the 3-pack at the time because it was cheaper to do so than to get a 6-pack. Of course, the next day the 6-pack was cheaper lol. Anyway, this is great xylitol gum and not overly expensive like Zellie’s. I take 2 (which is one serving meaning 2g of xylitol) after “most” meals because it’s supposed to be good for my oral health. I chew one piece at a time for a couple minutes to prolong the sweet flavor instead of popping both into my mouth together. I like chewing these because they don’t harden up like some gums do. They stay soft throughout and I often forget and chew them for 15-20 minutes at a time. Anyway, I did the math and compared the PUR gum to other 100% xylitol gums out there and this one was a clear winner to me for the same benefits. I would totally recommend this gum and I like that it’s aspartame free! I’d give it a 5.0/5.0 - 03/20/2026.
