Review: Does What It Says It Does - First off, I’m a little OCD with my granite counters, or at least I am for a once-a-week deep clean. I’ve been using the StoneTech stuff for about 5 years now as part of my cleaning process. Here is what you need to know about the product: 1) It does help maintain the seal on your countertop. I have extremely porous granite (Giallo Ornamental), prior to sealing the granite would suck water condensation off the bottom of a glass and stain the surface until it evaporated. I did the initial seal with StoneTech sealer, but haven’t resealed since, I’ve just been using this “revitalizer” and have had no staining issues. 2) Over time it does seem to have enriched the look of my granite. When I first started using the product my granite would look great when wet, like it had a deeper look to it; but when it dried it would look… well dry. Now the granite has seemed to maintain that deeper look, this enrichment didn’t happen right away, but over a long period of time. 3) It does not affect stainless or chrome fixtures. I’ve used the product right up against my stainless stove top and chrome faucet with no impact to their finish at all. 4) It does not dry on its own very well. When I apply it, I wet a section of the counter top, wipe it around, and then come back and dry it off with a soft cloth. If you just leave it on, it might look blotchy when it dries. 5) The last batch I purchased was the citrus scent and it seemed to put off a stronger and more perfumy sent then what I’ve purchased previously. I usually buy whatever scent is cheaper (cucumber or citrus), and while I hate eating cucumbers, I think the cucumber scent actually smells better than the citrus… it just smells cleaner. This is how I clean, or at least how I do it once-a-week; daily cleaning is just the distilled water: 1) Using a spray bottle of distilled water, I spray down sections of the countertop and wipe it off with paper towels, believe it or not, the distilled water does a good job removing coffee, coke, grease, and whatever else gets on our counters. BTW distilled water is great to clean computer and TV screens, as well as the plastic shield over your car’s gage cluster, just use a microfiber cloth when cleaning these surfaces. 2) Now that all the crumbs and sticky chunks are off the counter, I spray Everclear 190 proof on the counter and wipe it down with paper towels before it evaporates. The Everclear glides across the counters really easy, allowing you to feel any thing that you may have missed with the distilled water. You can use denatured alcohol, but I prepare food on this counter and don’t wear gloves when I clean; the crap they “denature” the alcohol with is toxic, so it’s a no-go for me. Everclear is also great in spodies, cleaning cuts (if you can take the pain), removing permanent ink, stripping your mouth of every bit of saliva, and blowing fire if you don’t mind the possibility of burning your face. 3) With the counter cleaned with the distilled water, and disinfected with the Everclear, it is time for the StoneTech Revitalizer. I spray it on, wipe it around with paper towels, and then buff it dry with a soft cloth. The results have always been great, and like I stated before it seems to do what is says - revitalize the finish and reinforce the seal.
Review: Slippery when used on stone tile floors after it dries; great for countertops and granite. - I don't want to leave a poor review b/c this really is a great product. I use their bathroom cleaner in my shower that is all travertine and it works great. I just want to warn other customers: I have granite countertops and travertine tile floors. This product works wonders on the granite. I used this on the floor once and it became so slippery after the floor dried that I will not use it again. I had to warn visitors coming over and my poor, elderly dog could hardly walk.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I love this product as a Cleaner and Protector -- but do I still need to put a sealer on my granite countertops? Thank you!**
A: Hi Jo Ann,This Dupont product is the BEST for granite. To answer the question about sealer, I do the test discussed here.http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2009/09/q-a-how-frequently-do-i-need-to-reseal-my-granite-kitchen-countertops/index.htmI hope this helps!Patty

**Q: Does it remove soap scum from travertine? Is it safe fo travertine? Can it be used with a buffer?**
A: We are not to sure if you will get the results your looking for using the revitalizer, might we suggest Travertine Stone Soap http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NFO16Z6 this will definitely work better and you can use it on a buffer application. revitalizer is more of a after clean protecter while the stone soap is a Cleaner.

**Q: I did not seal my granite yet. Can i still use this to clean?**
A: I checked the bottle and it did not say anything about if it was sealed or not. I would seal my granite first. I am sure dupont makes a sealer for the granite and you can do it yourself.

**Q: Is this product safe for terrazo floors?**
A: Not sure. I use it on travertine and love it. I have tried others. I would ask the company specifically that question.
