Is this a fault ?** A: Hiya, sounds like it. Lever should stay down. I know this may sound obvious but have you turned the power on? lever will automatically jump back with no power on all toasters. I forget sometimes and kick myself when bread has not made the transistion to luvly toast😇 **Q: Is ours faulty? Even with only 1 slice in it, it burns the side thats in the middle but bearly toasts the outside face.** A: We’ve owned the same toaster for approx one year now and we to have found that it does not toast slices of bread on both sides evenly. One side is toasted more than the other so it appears this a common issue but possibly therefore not a Fault. But this would depend on what you’d expect from a toaster in the first place. It could therefore bcc ex consider a fault as per one’s expectations etc. We are not accustomed to returning items labeling them as ‘faulty’ & have just got on with it but will often remove & flip slices over for a short period to help better toast the ‘least toasted side’. Smart and co modern in appearance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice, even toast, looks great. *by G***A on 1 April 2025* I love this toaster, it looks really nice, easy to polish the top chrome with a quick wipe with kitchen roll and the sides don't noticeably show finger prints/marks. 4 slots allow 4 slices to be made simultaneously or how we use it, a side for fresh bread and a side for frozen set at 2 different levels. The bread is toasted pretty evenly, just the edge was a bit underdone which could be rectified by smaller bread/turning half way but it really doesn't bother me. I couldn't say it's particularly quick but nor is it particularly slow. It's good value for money for what you get and a lovely addition to the kitchen looks wise.
