I love this lamp ... I get a happy feeling every time I look at it.  It's painted black ... and I had a medium-sized square lampshade in beige which looks great on it.It's perfect on my antique oak nightstand ... not too big, not too small ... and a maximum-allowed 60-watt bulb is plenty for reading in bed.My lamp is fairly heavy ... and doesn't wobble as another review mentioned.HOWEVER ... it took three tries for Amazon to send me a lamp that wasn't damaged!

Classic design and nice dark bronze color. But sort of lightweight. Sways a little when you turn it on and off. Would be better if the base were weighted more.

For the price, you get moulded resin, which is okay and it does the job.  I think the shipping was more expensive. However, the crack above the base at the point where the vase splays out (which appears to be all the way through, since it wobbles), was disappointing.  It was too inexpensive to send back.
