## Description

Product Description 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗗𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗕𝗬 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹？ ABY pedal has a simple function. It basically takes the signal from your instrument and splits it into two. Those two independent signals can be sent to multiple amplifiers or sound sources, then you can switch between them for more tonal options. Using multiple amps together can create a far richer tone, with more harmonic content and generally a bigger, more engulfing sound. Donner ABY Pedal - Your Best Decision 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 Signal can be transmitted in two modes: A/B separately or A＆B together. It can run from A/B to Y or the opposite. The high-quality electronic components and circuit can give you a transparent tone without any popping, buzzing, electric noise or the loss of strength and frequencies. 𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 The LED Light indicates the channel status while using. A/B mode： Red for channel A and Green for B. A＆B mode： Yellow 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 Donner‘s ABY box provides the essential functionality to switch between two sources. You can toggle quickly without unplugging cables from one setup to the other. And the compact design offers you an easy set -up on the pedalboard. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Donner's ABY Box can be used to solve a host of complex audio switching problems, taking your playing to another level. Review: Great product - Use this in A+B mode to split my signal into two outputs on my pedalboard. No ground loop problems or extra noise issues. Great pedal if you want a robust, simple ABY splitter for a low price.
Review: Exactly what I needed - I was actually looking for a mute switch to open an effects loop line in series. There are plenty of more expensive mute switches that do more than required. All I needed to do in this case was connect the return to my amp from my effects output to "B" and leave "A" unconnected. Then I get a red LED light when the loop is open and green when closed. Perfect. It works fine wihtout the power connected but you don't get an LED light of course.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: "a genuine analogy delay with new cd2399gp(pt2399) ic installed." this is some weird advertising. its a digital delay? not analog?**
A: i opened up my og yellow fall and looked up the data sheet for the chip. It's a cool little chip from a chinese company, it's basically a hybrid design/mixed signal design.

the new chip is obviously inspired by the old panasonic/matsushita chips that electro harmonix used in the 90s, but the main difference is, the matsushita chip sampled to an array of capacitors and this thing samples to an array of 24-bit registers

the sample clock is an analog multivibrator (same as an og memory man, etc).

this type of design is colloquially referred to as a "bucket-brigade" delay. in either the og matsushita, or this new chinese chip, the samples are shifted through each register, similar to the way a line (bucket-brigade) of fire fighters would have passed buckets of water from a well to a burning house in olden times.

i used to own a 90s deluxe memory man, and i really prefer the tone of a stock yellow fall to a stock 90s dx mem-man.

the 90s dx memory man leveraged a compander circuit to process the signal in and out of the matsushita. This could be quite a tone suck, and the pedal wasn't true-bypass.
the stock chips in the EH were dirt cheap op-amps, but they could easily be tuned and/or replaced with precision op-amps, which could vastly improve the perceived dynamic range of the pedal. (try to pick up a 90s dx mem-man if you like to mod pedals, it's a modder's dream!)

This new chinese chip does not suffer from any of those problems, because, of course, 24-bit registers can sample a very respectable dynamic range, and everything is true-bypass, these days.

all in all, i would say that the yellow fall is a modern classic! Everybody should have one!

I just wish Donner would make a Deluxe YF with tap tempo and expression pedal/CV sync input and sample to 32bit floating point registers with a pot to control the sample precision (to add a bit-crusher effect)! that would be my DREEEAM delay pedal!!!!

I hope my long-winded answer was helpful to understanding these things!

**Q: Does the package include a 9V power cable?**
A: Thanks for your questionNot，there is no power cable included, only a guitar pedal!

**Q: anyone compare this to the behringer compressor?**
A: I haven't compared this to the Behringer compressor but I have compared it to a MXR Dyna comp. The Behringer pedals I've had sounded good but were not very well made and crapped out on me after not much use. The Donner is a well built pedal and has a wide range of compression for the price. It is also a pretty quiet compressor compared to the Dyna Comp. I have a few of the smaller footprint pedals (Moore and Ibanez) and this one is built like a tank. For $40 it is a good purchase.

**Q: works with bass?**
A: Not very good, I play Bass

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product
*by S***O on 15 September 2025*

Use this in A+B mode to split my signal into two outputs on my pedalboard. No ground loop problems or extra noise issues. Great pedal if you want a robust, simple ABY splitter for a low price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I needed
*by A***R on 30 January 2025*

I was actually looking for a mute switch to open an effects loop line in series.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fine, but also consider Donner's Path Seeker model.
*by A***T on 7 February 2021*

All good, works, no discernible noise or cross talk as in some reviews. I got this model rather than Donner's newer Path Seeker' model as it works in either direction (one signal into two, or two signals into one) which I thought would be more flexible. Couple of things to note though - the foot switch only switches between channels A or B. If you want BOTH channels, A and B, then you need to use the little black slider switch. So you can't switch from one channel to both channels using your foot (unless you have extremely dexterious toes). Also this model lacks the volume controls and the ability to put one of the split channels out of phase, which the Path Seeker has. Volume you can control further up steam, but the ability to change the phase of one channel might be really useful and seriously improve the sound. So I would say if you just want to split a signal and just switch between the two channels this model is fine, but if you want to split a signal but play both channels together then I would probably spend the extra tenner for the path seeker. Going the other way, if you want to combine two separate signals in to single channel (e.g. two instruments into one amp) then this model will do that, but the path seeker won't. Hope that makes some sense.
