It dried fine and looked shiny..but only lasted about five days for me. So I don't know if that's the polish or the base and top coat. **Q: Can i use this for a french manicure?** A: Yes this shade of pink can be used for a French manicure. It is a semi sheer that needs three coats to make it almost opaque. **Q: Is this gel tacky or no wipe? Wondering if gel powders will work with it (which needs a tacky surface)** A: I have this nail polish in the blue and yes, it is tacky. Beautiful, bold blue color-exactly what I was looking for. I used the base coat and tempered top coat from the same brand with it and it dried flawlessly with my UV light and my nails feel very strong. I really liked the consistency of this polish. I lot of brands seem very sticky or super thick while you are painting. To me, the consistency of this was more like regular nail polish and easier to work with. The only minor complaint I have is that the brush that comes in it is a little large. It was hard to get right up against the cuticle without it getting in the skin.
