If I give more than one thin coat, then I'd have to sand it the next spring before repeating the process. **Q: What is square foot coverage?** A: I was surprised to find this was only a quart - so did not test its square footage. However, I did buy 5 gallons of it at home depot. My deck is a 20 year old pressure treated lumber deck - 350 sf - plus steps. It took all of it and I bought an extra gallon to go in between boards. **Q: Why couldn’t I use this on interior furniture?** A: The label says for use outdoors.
