Or, is it. Just beware of the following:If you've ever felt the heat coming off of a conventional automotive brake lamp or blinker bulb, you probably remember how hot these things get if they're turned on for any length of time. This is because conventional light bulbs convert electrical energy into heat as well as light. Well, these things accomplish their goal by simply converting ALL of that same electrical energy into heat. That said, be advised that these things will get VERY hot if the power is turned on for a long time (such as when you use these to cancel a brake lamp warning). Think about this when choosing a mounting location and attachment method, particularly if these things are wired into your brake lamp circuit. In that scenario, sitting in traffic with your foot on the brake for more than just a couple minutes will cause these resistors to get hot-enough to instantly burn your flesh, deform and possibly melt plastic. This heat is completely normal but you must take it into consideration when choosing a mounting location. These resistors should be mounted to a solid METAL bracket or panel, with METAL fasteners (not tie-wraps or electrical tape). Further, they should be kept away from anything that might be vulnerable to high heat, and given some air space around them for the heat to dissipate.The only other caution I would offer is this: Because this is not a light bulb, it will probably last for the entire life of the car, during which time it WILL prevent any warnings the car might give you if a light actually DOES go out. Just know this, and be diligent about checking your lights manually. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What you may need for LED conversion *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020* Needed a product like this to stop the directional bulb hyper flashing due to LED conversion. (lower wattage use made the hyper flash as if a bulb was out) this corrects that problem, as well as dashboard bulb failure indicator.
