The mesh filter washes up great as does the funnel. The only thing I'm confused about is the sticky hooks. I don't know what they are for. There are holes in the plastic frame around the edge of the filter so maybe they are to be placed on the funnel to hold the mesh piece in place? The filter stays in place without them pretty well so I don't know. If anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them. But overall the filter is great for cleaning gently used oil.
