It came packaged nicely in a zippered Serta bag. As all memory foam products are, it was highly compressed and tightly wrapped in plastic and looked way too small. After unwrapping and gently unfolding as much as possible I laid it on the bed to do its thing. Within 2 hours it had completely expanded and come to its full king size. Contrary to what some other reviewers have said I noted absolutely no odor. In fact, I immediately made up the bed and have been sleeping in it ever since. I can’t comment on the cooling effect because I bought it to put inside my older sleep number mattress to bulk it up. It has good firmness with the typical qualities of a memory foam. I’m very happy with it. I feel it’s going to extend the life of my sleep number even further as I’d already replaced the inner foam mattress pad on that. I have back issues and it has improved my sleep quality. It was a very good value for the price and I’m glad I got it. I would purchase it again and highly recommend. Not a bad description but it cuddles your body in a cocoon and has been a great comfort for joint and body pain. I will add it take’s getting used to when you want to roll and turn position as the cocoon effect holds you in the foam. Sleep hasn’t been too hot or cold as of yet. I was miserable. I never hurt so much by just sleeping in all my life! I could barely get out of bed. I would have to do a roll over and push myself up. We bought the mattress from raymour so we had 90 days to exchange. I was really worried about doing that. I didn't know how many tines I could do it and I honestly didn't wany to go through the hassle. We decided to try this certain mattress topper. It is wonderful! I am not hurting anymore. It is comfortable and I look forward to going to sleep! You have to unroll and wait 48 hours to use so be sure you have somewhere other then your bed to pass those 48 hours. Slight odor but not noticeable once you have the protector and the sheets on. I love this product! I don't think it is cooling even though it says cooling. I am glad about that though. I also don't think it is hot.
