I had a new shower installed and had my plumber approve this shower head and Valve before purchase. He said it was a good one and I love using it!

I recently took out my bathtub/shower and replaced with a walk in shower with a seat. After searching for days for the perfect shower head with hand held I settled on the Delta Ashlyn 17 Series Shower Head in Matte Black. It has nice spray options for both the Hand Held and Shower Head. The touch clean holes are nice so you don't have the soak the shower head to get rid of calcium build up. I will admit we used a YouTube video for easier installation. The only cons were that it can be hard to get the handheld docked into the shower head. I have had it drop out unexpectedly. The shower head hose is long which is nice when seated and shaving but it gets tangled in the water handles during normal showering. I did purchase a small black stick-on hook that is away from the handle to loop the hose on (not pictured). I have bought several Delta products and have been pleased but when I did have a problem, Delta Customer Service was quick to reply and solve the problem.

Love this. My contractor installed it and did not complain about the install so I assume it went in easily. Ny pressure and options for switching up the flow. It could be a tiny bit stronger and I may have my contractor adjust like others have written. Looks great.

Although if you have low water pressure, then you'll need to remove the blue limiter at the base of the main head unit, where it connects to the pipe. Take care if unscrewing/inspecting other pieces, since the mix of plastic and metal parts can easily lead to striping threads. Particularly, beware of the plastic rotator bushing and make sure it is well behind the ball joint before trying to screw it back together.

We ordered this for a Plumbing Customer of ours. We ordered it a while ago, while they were finishing their tile work. We went to install it and the Black trim had a chrome handheld part. Now we have to do a complete new trip and try to order just the inside shower head to fix it.

Love our shower head but not the stiff hose. It eventually straightens out with hot water over time but it's still way too stiff. I will probably replace the hose soon.One of our three cartridges is "sticking" which makes the temperature handle hard to turn without also turning the handle for the water flow. It's getting very annoying. Two of them work perfectly.Unfortunately, because the three sets were bought for the reno we didn't end up using them within the return window.I'd love to hear back from the seller about replacing the bad cartridge.Update: No word from the seller at all and now the hose on the shower head we use the most has split apart. The inner hose is still intact so it's not leaking but the outer casing is breaking. We've only used this since February and it started splitting apart in September. The reason it's splitting is that it's just too stiff and even with the only very slight bend in the hose it still split. Very poor quality and not something I'd expect from Delta, maybe some no-name brand but not Delta. I'll have to replace the hose very soon on all three shower heads. I would not buy this again if I had known it'd only last 9 months.

Installed a few of these in a customers houses and product quality ends up being the complaint.Main issues tend to be:1. The shower head is difficult to swivel2. the handles for the temp control and water on/off get loose3. the removable shower handheld is difficult to fit back into place once removed4. The hose for the handheld is way too stiff which also contributes to the difficulty in re-positioning the handheldPros:1. materials used are pretty good for the shower head, escutcheon plate and shower flange from the wall2. Looks nice when installedConclusion: Decent overall but disappointing considering the Delta name and actual real life functionality.

Tried this product because shower faucets are so expensive at the local hardware stores. Yes it is made of plastic but it works great and looks great too. Worth the evenstment.

Works great. Looks great. Been using for 7 months no issues. Did have to buy a new hose because the one that comes with it is plastic and bends all over the place.

We had the unit installed by a plumber and it has been great. In a shower-only system it is really nice to have independent hot/cold and pressure handles. This way you can turn down the pressure slightly but still have the same temperature. Maybe all shower valves are like that, but it is an important and nice feature to have.
