The model features the aircraft in a pre-takeoff position with lift engine doors open, the weapon bays open and the landing gear extended. I glued the three pieces of the stand together using a cyanoacrylate instant glue to prevent the stand from falling apart or accidentally losing the clear acrylic plastic aircraft mount. I did not glue the aircraft to the stand. Although the detail of the aircraft pilot representation isn't the best, I highly recommend this model of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft to aircraft enthusiasts.

**Q: Can this be displayed with landing gear retracted and all open doors and vents closed.**
A: No, all open ports are rigid and cannot be closed, and landing gear cannot retract.  Basically, no moving parts at all.  But still a great little model!

A: Yes, 90% of it is put together only thing you have to do is place in stand maybe super glue the draft exhaust to stay put, very simple

Like other reviews, the left side air intake door was broken off, I had to use super glue to reattach, and the product box was pretty beat up. For $48 it should be giftable without repairs.
