It is a lot better if you get a Dremmel tool with a buffing wheel and then use the polish that way. The polish does work at removing scratches from both mineral crystal and sapphire crystals. I would recommend polishing the spot that was scratched for a long period of time reducing pressure to help smooth out and not cause a warble or bump in the crystal.
