Scum on top has gone and the smell is much less strong. So far the water has kept nice and clear and odour-free so they seem to be doing the job. Without treatment the water can begin to get smelly. ### ⭐ Right at this moment, doesn't work. However, I will update this review if things change after another treatment in a couple of days.For info, I got these to use in a 100L water butt purchased new from Aldi. I can't attach it to my downpipe as the downpipe is rectangular, so I've been filling it with grey water (remnants of a boiled kettle plus the cold water from the shower before it runs hot). The water butt was at approx 70 to 80 litres full, and had been for no more than 2 weeks when it started to really smell.
