Ordered as my first replacement as the original that came with the unit stopped lowering hardness. With replacement, GH went down immediately and the process of replacing was easy ### ⭐ Absolute rubbish, poorly manufactured, poor quality control! *by I***N on 5 September 2021* Aquarists stay well clear! People replacing drinking membranes, you've no idea what you're actually drinking! I've literally wasted hours and dozens of gallons of water after receiving this, only to find the membrane let's water bypass considerably, chucking out 35-50tds which is not what I get on my water supply. Upon closer inspection, the o-rings on the output of the membrane didn't look right, removed them, only to find very, VERY poorly formed plastic moulding preventing the o-ring sitting properly, hopefully visible in the picture! I'm hoping you don't even have to zoom in too much on the photos, to the right of the notch where the o-ring sits you can see the notch looks strange. Needless to say it's poorly machined plastic, it's like somebody has done a bad job with super glue. Zoom in and you can see the difference compared to another membrane, the green tipped one is perfect, the white tipped one which is this product, not so much. Cheap and poorly formed, thankfully I bought for emergency usage but it'll probably go in the bin now either way. I'm fortunate (or unfortunate!) enough to be using this for an aquarium, I have TDS meters in place at various points and can measure what's coming in and out where. People who are buying these for drinking water are very unlikely to so the same, you'll be drinking things you wouldn't expect to, 35-50tds on my soft supply, which I'd normally expect expecting 1-5 TDS at most. I hate leaving reviews like this and seldom do unless something is that bad. These are complete, and utter trash.
