Other brands have the coating. **Q: Does this have protease?** A: It’s not under other ingredients. What is protease? **Q: Are these gluten free ?** A: Yes **Q: enteric coated or a waste of $ ?** A: I don’t remember if this brand was coated but I’ve used both and both worked for me.
