If you like challenging your brain, I would definitely recommend-but if you don't, there are so many other ways to play. The age I would recommend is probably around 10 and up, but if it is to hard, you can simplify it by playing a different variant. Additionally, Calico is not only a multiplayer game, but can be played solo as well. It is not very competitive either because everyone is focused on their own board. The quality of the tiles and board is amazing, and the artwork is too. The instructions are easy to understand, and include a place to mark your achievements as well. The value you get from this game is definitely worth the price tag. The strategy that goes into playing is slightly difficult, but once again, you can simplify it. All together, Calico is a brilliant, well-designed, puzzle game that is fun and (though difficult) is worth your time.

A: The rules of the game are for 4 players. But it should not be a problem to extend the game to additional players by adding a second box.

**Q: Can the game be easily deciphered by color blind players?**
A: The pieces have symbols corresponding to the flowers associated with the colors, in addition to being color coded, so I think you could play it. Would it be easy to do so? I'm not sure, but it is possible and I think they designed it with this in mind. Great game!
