I own the AT Max, Pro, and the Minelab 600. So compared to all these machines it holds right up there with the high dollar rigs. I have noticed that I had to slow my swing speed down a bit compared to my max but I think that was just getting to know the machine. It does have good separation of material as i have tested it in really trashy parks, it is light weight, has a balanced feel and less arm fatigue then the AT series. Cant wait until they release the 5x8 coil for this thing, as I tend to use the smaller coil a lot, I think with that this machine will be outstanding. I would definitely recommend it even though its not waterproof. **Q: Is this detector short and light enough for a woman 5'3" tall??** A: Yes **Q: Do i need battery chsrger** A: The APEX includes a built-in rechargeable battery. It also includes the USB Charging Cable. You only need to supply a USB charging outlet or Laptop/Desktop USB port. **Q: Will any bluetooth headphones work like my airpods?** A: No, Garrett uses a Proprietary system called Z-Lynk.
