They're small yet deep. They're excellent for a bowl of cereal. I made a quick ziti in them put them in the microwave to melt the cheese and they're perfect. They're the perfect weight and size and the orange to red color is beautiful. I am so happy with them. They also stack nicely in the cupboard. They're good and sturdy and I can tell that they'll last long. I found mugs here on Amazon in the same orange to red color and they're a perfect match. I also use my new fancy gold flatware and it's all so beautiful together. I was looking at the lavender to purple bowls that this company makes and they're gorgeous. These bowls are excellent. I hand wash my dishes and they're so easy to wash and even using a scrub pad to get stuck on cheese off hasn't scratched them.
