Look here! *by R***H on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2013* I have two signed prints that I've been dragging around with me for 25 years, meaning to get them framed, but at over $100 each for frames, they have been sitting in my closet. The size of these prints is 12" X 12", and though it was fairly easy to find mats for them for under $5 each, the frames were a different story. With the matting, my prints became 14" X 14", and the only frames I could find were at my local frame shops and since there were two, they said they would "discount" the price so that the total would be $265 at one place and a mere $225 at another place. It's not that I'm cheap, really, it's just that my dad worked at a frame shop for many years and he used to tell me about how much they marked up the prices on simple frames so that they could sell the more ornate frames for a "better" price. It's really kind of a conspiracy if you ask me. All I wanted was simple wooden (not plastic or fake wood!) frames to put these prints in. After much searching, I finally found the Rusty Roof here on Amazon, and I am sooooo glad! The frames are real wood, well-made, and come with the glass, backing, and tabs to hold everything in. They also came with the hanger installed, and they were packed really well - not a scratch anywhere! And the best part was the price! For less than $50 including shipping, I was able to acquire frames for my prints that are perfect! I was in such awe watching him work and by the end result. I purchased the painting from him. However, when I tried to find a frame for the picture, I was told it was an odd size and would have to put in a special order. The price that I was quoted for the frame was very expensive; so there my beautiful work of art sat until I ran into The Rusty Roof picture frames. After reading all the reviews, I decided to placed an order, but I ran into to same problem the size options were either too big or too small. I called the owner directly and explained my problem. He told me to order the frame I wanted and he would switch it for the size that I needed for the same price.Today I received my frame and it fit my painting perfectly. The workmanship is very good. I ordered the frame on a Thursday and received it on Tuesday. Very well build and sturdy.I've purchased two of these picture frames and I have not been disappointed.The only slightly annoying thing is having to install the wall hanger yourself, but that isn't too hard.Especially if you pre-drill some small holes to fit the bracket into.
