Review: Buy this vac I’m no shark hater , but you’ll need customer services sooner or later - Bought in April of 2023, £188 at time of purchase Had 2 vax blade cordless vacs which while good had started to lose power, so thought I’d go for a corded model , Chose a shark after reading countless reviews and was interested to see if the anti hair wrap could cope with 2 huge ragdoll cats that leave a ton of hair about the place A year later and with a few slight hiccups I thought I’d leave my thoughts on it. Vac feels ok in the hand , too heavy though for my wife who sticks to her blade vac , Easy to use on/off button with another next to it to alter the speed on the brushes Feels pretty plastic but not too bad and the dirt collector although small is easy to empty and clean with all filters washable (well I wash them!) The moveable arm that you wrap the cord round when storing broke after 6 weeks but I epoxy’d it back on and ok now . Great suction with 2 brushes getting most things up in 1 to 2 passes , anti hair wrap works great and I’ve only had to remove a few strands a couple times , an absolute game changer for me who was constantly cutting out hair from our blade vacs , I’ve had the rollers stop a few times with the wheels at the end of the rollers getting jammed with hair, 10 mins once every 3 months with a paper clip will remove the jam and get it working again, Been having a problem with the power button intermittently not working for the last few months and today it wouldn’t turn off and when unplugging it , yep .. it then wouldn’t turn back on after plugging it back in, got in touch with desertcart first who gave me sharks number and after a video call probably to make sure I wasn’t trying it on they have dispatched a new head unit without a quibble , so top marks for that , there’s a 5 year warranty on corded vacs so plenty of peace of mind , So all in all a good vacuum, works well and any problems are sorted quickly by shark ( in my opinion) Anti hair wrap should be standard on all vacs!! Review: I would make this vacuum cleaner mandatory in all UK households if i could - highly recommend buying this. i work fulltime and care for elderly parents, i am not great with appliances i dont know much about technology but heard alot about this brand and the price point is affordable. this is EXTREMELY easy to use, no nonsense, straightforward. its got great accessories as well, you dont have to go through menus and make a million decisions. it really picks up dirt and hair, the hair collector in the vacuum actually turns slowly inside so it wont clog itself. the bending feature seems scary but if i can understand it then anyone else can, its very handy for getting under the sofa and bed. the headlights on the front also helps you see the floor better. when folded its small, its so much better than a traditional vacuum and having to pack it away. really wish i bought this sooner. for the first time in my life im genuinely excited to vacuum my whole house next week using this. its just BETTER

**Q: How does the anti hair wrap technology work? I have very long hair.**
A: It doesn’t! Both my son and I have long hair and I spend more time cutting hair out the brush than I do cleaning the house!!

A: The head is 7.5 cm high and the black housing above the wheels is 10cm high when the hoover is horizontal ready to push under the sofa

**Q: Why is it 3.9 kg on Shark website and 7 kg here? Seems to be same model HZ500UK**
A: I do not know what weight it is but these measurements you say are not correct. It is much lighter than that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product for the money

Pro's: Very compact and can be stored away with ease, great for picking up pet hair (self explanatory for the model), suction power is pretty good for the price, cable length is great so don't have to keep unplugging to change rooms, very ease to clean filters and rollers if they do become full. Cons: stair accessory is nearly useless as slows down significantly when pressure applied, dirt compartment very small so if you have a medium/large house this isn't the greatest, about the same weight as our old upright vacuum cleaner, feels very flimsy and cheaply built especially where it folds to allow for storage so sceptical of it's longevity. overall a decent Vacuum cleaner for those just starting up in a small home, but could be better for the price being asked.
