Product Description 3M Scotchrap Vinyl Corrosion Protection Tape 51 is a tough option designed to resist abrasions and punctures. This printed, high-tack adhesive tape is corrosion and impact-resistant and can be used on metal piping systems, conduits and fittings both above and below ground. Its flexible PVC backing offers high conformability and electrical insulation properties, making it highly resistant to UV rays, corrosive salt water, soil acids, alkalis, salts, chemicals and many challenging weather conditions. 3M Scotchrap Vinyl Corrosion Protection Tape 51 is RoHS compliant; for more compliance information. From the Manufacturer 3M™ Scotchrap™ All-Weather Corrosion Protection Tape 50 and 51 features a tough, polyvinyl chloride backing with special high-tack adhesives formulated to resist corrosion of metal piping systems above and below ground. It also offers corrosion protection on fittings and joints on all mill-coated pipe and electrical conduit systems. The professional-grade backing and adhesive combine to offer corrosion resistance to salt water, soil acids, alkalies and salts, common chemicals, chemical vapors, and exposure to various weather conditions. This is great pipe wrap. I use it for taping the power line to the pipe when I install pumps in a well. Electric tape comes loose when used in water - this is great stuff. Use it everywhere when I need wide, super adhesive tape. Cannot purchase locally, glad Amazon makes it available for purchase.
