I had to purchase and return 2 other filters that claimed they replaced the Samsung filter but had a different locking mechanism. I was told by Samsung that I either had to force it into the housing or take a knife and shave the locking mechanism for most of the replacement filters to work. Seriously?! This filter fit perfectly and the water tastes great. The price was good too so I went ahead and bought enough to last a couple of years in case I can't find the right filter when I need it again. I have only had my Samsung refrigerator for one year and now they no longer make the filter for it? ### ⭐ This is terrible product. But this item was a extremely tight fit. after installation, i tried to get some water through the dispenser, and the filter started leaking. When I took the filter off, high pressure water sprayed everywhere in the fridge (unlike the filter I had before). I drained the water from the filter and the carbon started wash out of the filter housing. This is terrible product. Tried to put in new filter, and it does not lock in at all. The dimensions of the filter also look slightly smaller than the old one. This leads me to believe it is a manufacturing defect from poor quality control.Do not buy this filter for your Samsung refrigerator unless you want to play filter roulette.
