The unit is well built externally and the 6 foot main cord is very helpful in my case. One problem arose. When I received the unit there was something metallic rattling around inside the outlet case. Upon opening the case I found a loose blob of solder that must have fallen inside when the common ground wires were being installed. The blob fell out and the fact that it was there cost this product a star.
